It is a great honour to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for the London LABC Building Excellence Awards 2019 for our refurbishment project at 7-8 Philpot Lane.

The project is shortlisted as a finalist in the following categories:

•Best Change of Use of an Existing Building or Conversion

•Best Small Commercial Project

The LABC Regional Building Excellence Awards reward exceptional buildings, outstanding companies, partnerships and individuals that go that extra mile. The LABC network covers all local authorities in England and Wales and is split into 12 regions, each holding its own awards. The regional London Building Excellence Awards will take place in the iconic Guildhall in the City of London on Friday 10 May.

Competition has been stronger than ever this year. All winning projects from the regional awards will automatically qualify for the LABC Grand Finals. Being shortlisted is a great accomplishment for us.

7-8 Philpot Lane is a Grade II listed building. This project was commissioned for the new London Headquarters of the Professional Footballers Association. The City Planning officers have already recommended the project as a candidate for the City Heritage Award 2018 for the best conservation/ refurbishment project completed in the City in the previous 12 months.

The building is a five-storey double fronted office accommodation, comprising 4,274 sq ft of office space arranged over basement, ground and three upper floors. The building occupies a prime and prominent position on the west side of Philpot Lane, located near the junctions of Fenchurch Street and Eastcheap and directly opposite the internationally renowned Rafael Viñoly designed 20 Fenchurch Street.
