We are pleased to announce that we have recently secured a new internal refurbishment project with our client, The Church Commissioners for England (Hyde Park Estate), working alongside Contract Administrators JLL.
The site is located on Bathurst Mews, London, W2 2SB, situated in the Bayswater Conservation Area. This unique and charming location boasts one of London’s last remaining stables, Hyde Park Stables, which has been part of the capital since 1835.
The property is mid-terrace, comprising of ground and first floor level. The ground floor is currently being used as storage facilities with living accommodation to the first-floor level. The building currently provides timber windows to the front elevation along with timber folding doors and main entrance, and is of traditional load bearing masonry construction.
The works comprise complete internal refurbishment works and repairs to the ground and upper floor levels, transforming this two-bed Mews property into a three-bed accommodation with ground floor open plan kitchen/living area.
Bathurst Mews is an original Georgian home located on the Hyde Park Estate, and whilst sitting right in the heart of W2, is set back from the hustle and bustle of Bayswater Road. Bathurst Mews is within walking distance of some of London’s most prominent landmarks, including Hyde Park and Marble Arch, and is conveniently located for high-street shopping on Edgeware Road and Oxford Street. Bathurst Mews has excellent transport links nearby; Paddington Station is just under ten minutes’ walk away, which is now served by the newly opened Elizabeth Line.
This exciting internal refurbishment project is expected to run for 30 working weeks, with completion in February 2023. We will be sure to keep you updated – keep an eye on our Instagram.
